Preparing students for BECE and beyond
Junior High School Program
Basic 7 to 9 at Cedar Christian School represents a crucial phase in the academic journey of our learners. These classes form the core of Junior High School, where students are guided through a well-balanced curriculum designed to build strong academic foundations, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare them thoroughly for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
During these three years, learners engage in a wide range of subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, Social Studies, Computing, Religious & Moral Education, French, Career Technology, Creative Arts, and Ghanaian Language. Lessons are delivered through interactive teaching methods and continuous assessments to ensure students understand and confidently apply what they learn.
Foundation Building
As students progress from Basic 7 to Basic 9, they receive increasing levels of structured academic support tailored toward BECE readiness. Basic 7 and 8 introduce learners to exam-style questions and practice activities to build confidence and familiarity with examination formats.
Intensive BECE Preparation
Basic 9 focuses on intensive preparation, revision programmes, mock examinations, and individual mentoring to ensure learners are fully prepared for the national examination.
At Cedar Christian School, our goal is not only to prepare learners academically but also to foster character, resilience, and a love for learning. Through strong teacher guidance, a supportive environment, and a Christian value-based education, we equip our Basic 7 to 9 learners for success in the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and for the next stage of their educational journey.
